We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Programmer to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent, full-time position where you will play a critical role in our manufacturing processes. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new programming and setup instructions for our Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines. Your work will ensure the production of high-quality parts and materials required for our cutting-edge aerospace projects. This role requires a high level of precision and attention to detail, as well as a strong understanding of the ITAR/aerospace environments.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain accurate run books and setup instructions for all CNC machines.
2. Create, verify, and revise programs for CNC machines, ensuring all work is repeatable and auditable.
3. Collaborate closely with the engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.
4. Conduct regular tests and inspections of CNC machines to ensure they are functioning correctly.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the CNC machines.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest CNC programming technologies and industry trends.
7. Ensure all work complies with ITAR and other relevant aerospace regulations.
8. Train and guide junior programmers and operators on CNC machine setup and programming.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role as a CNC Programmer within the engineering industry.
2. Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
3. Experience in maintaining accurate run books, setup instructions, and program revisions.
4. Familiarity with ITAR/aerospace environments is a must.
5. Strong knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software.
10. A degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
