Evaluate trailers and related equipment, identifying mechanical problems and defective parts.

Repair to OEM specifications and respected industry standards.

Complete scheduled maintenance to maximize uptime.

Rebuild/repair trailer bodies and undercarriages: air bag replacement, cross-members, dolly legs, and tandem systems.

Plan, document, and verify each job with checklists and established procedures.

Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area; care for tools and equipment.

Follow health and safety regulations and best practices without exception.

Partner with teammates and also work independently as needed.

Take on additional assignments as directed.

Experience: 1–2 years of mechanical or equivalent hands-on experience.

ASE certifications are welcomed but not required.

Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math capability.

Ability to read and write in English for documentation and communication.

Personally owned tools and safety gear (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, hearing protection).
Must pass pre-employment knowledge/skill test, background check (10-year), and drug/medical physical exam.

Heavy Work: Exert up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.

Frequent: walking, standing, climbing, stooping, crouching, balancing, kneeling, crawling.

Manual dexterity: frequent hand/finger use for grasping, typing, and tool operation.

Sensory: talking, hearing, & vision for detailed inspection and safe use of tools, machinery, and vehicles.
Primarily shop-based with indoor and outdoor tasks. Expect exposure to:

Non-climate-controlled areas and temperature swings

Dirt, dust, soot, fumes, and particulates

Moving mechanical parts and electrical equipment

Chemicals and limited ventilation

Heights, confined spaces, and elevated noise

PPE and strict safety protocol compliance are mandatory.

Hourly Rate: $25 – $35 (depending on experience and location)
