Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered emergency care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Working in our Level III Trauma Center, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver rapid interventions, stabilize patients, and maintain a compassionate environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Rapid Assessment & Triage: Evaluate emergency patients quickly to prioritize care and stabilize acute conditions.
- Emergency Procedures: Administer medications, start IVs, provide respiratory support, and perform/assist with emergency procedures (intubation, wound care, suturing).
- Patient Care & Monitoring: Conduct thorough assessments, operate life-support equipment (monitors, IV pumps, ventilators), and document care promptly in medical records.
- Life-Saving Interventions: Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR and code team activities.
- Collaboration & Advocacy: Work closely with physicians and care teams, advocate for patient needs, and provide clear discharge/care education to patients and families.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to infection control, National Patient Safety Goals, regulatory standards, and maintain regular, reliable attendance.
Qualifications
Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- 1+ years of ED RN experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation preferred

Skills & Abilities
- Strong clinical knowledge of emergency nursing processes, safety standards, and infection control.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and monitoring for side effects.
- Strong communication, team collaboration, and documentation skills.
