AlSajdah Academy is a nonprofit tutoring center committed to providing exceptional K–8 education in a safe, nurturing environment; regardless of a family's financial circumstances. We aim to meet and exceed state educational standards while emphasizing character, discipline, and community. Our classrooms are screen-free; we believe in hands-on, engaged learning that keeps students present and participatory.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic educator to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, skilled in classroom management, and excited to help young learners flourish academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans in Language Arts and Social Studies
- Deliver instruction aligned with academy curriculum standards
- Foster a respectful, well-disciplined learning environment with a focus on manners and character
- Maintain a tidy and organized classroom space
- Provide timely feedback and grade student work
- Coordinate with fellow educators and communicate professionally with parents
- Embrace and contribute to a team-oriented environment
Schedule Monday–Thursday, 7:45 AM – approximately 2:15 PM. Small-group instruction format.
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for teaching and inspiring children
- Creativity in delivering hands-on, screen-free lessons
- Patience and firmness in guiding student behavior and classroom etiquette
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to align with academy standards and work collegially
- Punctual and reliable
Preferred but Not Required
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Education or English)
- Prior teaching experience (1+ years)

- Must be a U.S. resident and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (No sponsorship available)
- Applicants must be able to reliably commute or be planning to relocate prior to the start date.
