Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Southern Style Cook to join our team at our senior living community. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in preparing and cooking authentic Southern cuisine in a fine dining, restaurant-style setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of Southern-style dishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Follow recipes and menu specifications to ensure consistency and quality of food.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and coordinate meal service according to resident preferences and dietary restrictions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests, including accommodating special requests and dietary needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Southern style cooking, preferably in a fine dining or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of Southern cuisine and traditional cooking techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
- Dependable and punctual with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening required.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
