Gary Platt is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Specialist to join our growing team.
This role goes beyond traditional purchasing. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, enhancing working processes, learning systems, and finding ways to support the broader business. You'll work closely with suppliers, production, engineering, finance, and customer service to ensure materials are available while driving continuous improvements throughout our procurement process.

Key Responsibilities:
· Source raw materials, components, and production supplies.
· Create and manage purchase orders within SAP.
· Monitor supplier performance including quality, pricing, lead times, and delivery.
· Expedite critical materials to support production schedules.
· Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing, and supplier records.
· Resolve purchasing and invoice discrepancies with vendors and Accounting.
· Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
· Obtain competitive quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and lead times.
· Identify cost savings and value engineering opportunities.
· Research and qualify new suppliers.
· Participate in supplier evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
· Analyze purchasing trends and supplier performance.
· Review inventory levels to support purchasing decisions.
· Monitor purchasing metrics and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing experience.
· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Experience using SAP or another ERP system.
· Manufacturing experience.
· Experience negotiating with suppliers.
· Knowledge of inventory management and production planning.
· Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Pay: $61,104.56 - $85,000.00 per year
