Position Summary:
We are seeking a responsible, compassionate, and detail-oriented Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. This role involves the direct supervision and care of dogs in group play settings, as well as maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a genuine love for animals, and the ability to remain calm and attentive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and interact with dogs in play groups to ensure safe and appropriate play behavior
- Monitor dogs for signs of illness, stress, or injury and report concerns to management promptly
- Assist with the intake and release process for daycare and boarding clients
- Maintain cleanliness of play yards, kennels, and common areas
- Clean up after dogs, including poop scooping and mopping accidents
- Provide feeding, water, and medication to dogs as directed by management or veterinary instructions
- Communicate professionally and effectively with team members and pet owners
- Follow all facility policies, safety protocols, and animal handling guidelines
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in Dog Daycare settings preferred
- Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
