Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the childcare center, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that support early childhood education principles, including toddler care, infant care, and special education strategies.
- Manage classroom schedules, activities, and behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and developmental milestones.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate caregiving staff to maintain high standards of childcare quality and classroom experience.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety protocols—including first aid—and maintain accurate documentation for audits and inspections.
- Foster strong partnerships with families through regular communication, parent meetings, and personalized care plans tailored to children’s needs—especially those with disabilities or special needs.
- Coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff in areas such as childhood development, working with children with disabilities, classroom management, and caregiving best practices.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or nannying environments—preferably with toddlers and infants.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with expertise in early childhood education methodologies.
- Background in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood development or behavior management are a plus.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience within a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to childcare facilities and child protection policies.
