Duties
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a welcoming attitude.
- Take detailed food and beverage orders using POS systems such as TOAST.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Process cash, credit card, and digital transactions efficiently, including sales transaction processing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and assisting in food handling as needed.
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations on wine pairings, spirits, or menu items based on guest preferences.
- Support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Uphold food safety standards and proper sanitation practices throughout all service interactions.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as TOAST, familiarity with Toast tables is a plus.
- Strong culinary knowledge combined with beverage expertise including spirits, wine knowledge, cocktail experience, and food industry familiarity.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude that fosters guest loyalty.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or casual settings is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills paired with hospitality mindset to create welcoming guest experiences.
