Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case development and strategy.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
- Manage case files and documents ; ensure proper filing and organization for easy retrieval.
- Maintain accurate records of case progress and update legal case management systems regularly.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, handling phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, and performing general clerical tasks to streamline office operations.
Experience
- Prior paralegal experience in a law office setting is required; minimum one year.
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with Clio is a plus. Comfortable learning new technology and proccesses.
- Capable of responding quickly and positively to shifting demands and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high accuracy standards.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proofreading and transcription abilities are essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills including interviewing techniques, professional phone etiquette, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
