We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department on a per diem basis. The role requires a strong foundation in emergency medicine procedures, critical care experience, and familiarity with diverse medical conditions encountered in an emergency setting. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed triage assessments to prioritize patient needs efficiently and accurately.
- Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage airway patency and ventilator support for critically ill patients requiring respiratory assistance.
- Perform wound suturing, catheterizations, and other invasive procedures adhering to sterile techniques.
- Monitor vital signs continuously, interpret physiological data, and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document all patient interactions thoroughly within electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families during stressful emergency situations.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, radiology procedures (e.g., CT scans), and trauma assessments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aligned with hospital standards like NCQA standards and ICD coding practices.
MUST HAVE: BLS, ACLS, State License
