Zaman Mediterranean Fresh is looking for an experienced, dependable, and friendly Cashier / Front of House Team Member to join our team.
We are primarily looking for a full-time team member, but we are also open to a strong part-time candidate with consistent availability.
Zaman is a locally owned Mediterranean restaurant serving fresh, made-from-scratch food. We’re looking for someone who understands great hospitality, enjoys working with people, and can provide fast, accurate service while helping keep the front of the restaurant running smoothly.
This is more than simply operating a register. The right person will be welcoming, organized, attentive to detail, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative during busy shifts.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using our POS system
- Learn the menu and confidently answer questions, make recommendations, and suggest additional items when appropriate
- Process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions accurately
- Check and package dine-in, takeout, delivery, and catering orders carefully
- Coordinate with the kitchen to help ensure orders are accurate and timely
- Maintain a clean and organized front counter, dining room, beverage station, and guest areas
- Restock supplies throughout the shift
- Assist with opening and closing responsibilities
- Handle guest questions or concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate cash handling and assist with end-of-shift register procedures
- Support other team members and help wherever needed during busy periods
What We’re Looking For
- Previous restaurant, fast-casual, cashier, or similar customer-service experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with guests
- Dependable and punctual
- Able to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities during busy periods
- Someone who takes initiative and notices what needs to be done
- Team-oriented and willing to help others
- Comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Consistent availability, including evenings and weekends
Restaurant POS experience is a plus.
