Job description:
Growing cabinetry manufacturer and distributor located in Manchester, CT seeking to hire a full time Receiving Specialist.
Job specifications:
- Must be humble, hungry, and smart
- Ability to learn specific processes
- Ability to follow said processes once trained
- Ability to operate a Fork lift
- Must have computer Knowledge
- Willingness to make improvements and take pride in their work
- Ability to lift up to 100lbs
List of duties:
Key Daily Responsibilities
- Unloading & Inspection: Unloading freight and cabinets from delivery vehicles and inspecting packages for visible damage or signs of tampering.
- Verification: Comparing packing lists and purchase orders against physical contents
- Discrepancy Resolution: Documenting damaged goods, shortages, or overages, and coordinating with ordering to resolve issues.
- System Logging: Entering goods receipts into inventory and Warehouse Management Systems (ERP System: Acumatica)
- Labeling & Allocation: Generating labels, sorting products, and assigning goods to specific storage or staging locations.
- Contribution to our Lean Culture of continuous improvement.
Operational & Support Duties
- Return Management: Processing and packing defective or mis-shipped merchandise for returns to vendors.
- Inventory Control: Conducting routine physical inventories and cycle counts to reconcile system data with stock on hand.
- Equipment Operation: Using material-handling equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Kitting orders for production and delivering them to multiple departments, preparing outbound deliveries.
- Safety Compliance: Maintaining a clean, hazard-free work space and strictly adhering to safety and environmental standards
Relationships and Roles:
- Supervised by the Production Manager
- Intro-mid level position, with potential for growth
