We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of food safety and quality while fostering a positive work environment for team members.
Duties
- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen and service areas, ensuring adherence to food safety and quality standards and exceptional customer service.
- Lead and manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and productivity.
- Conduct interviews and participate in the hiring process to build a skilled and motivated team.
- Train new employees on food handling procedures, techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
- Implement best practices in food safety to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with upper management to develop strategies for improving service quality and customer satisfaction.
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management or a related field, preferably within a kitchen or hotel environment.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, and kitchen management principles.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Previous experience in interviewing or training staff is highly desirable.
