About the Role
Dakota Autism Center is seeking a Hybrid Qualified Supervising Professional (QSP) to provide clinical supervision and direction for our Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention (EIDBI) program. The QSP holds full professional responsibility for the clinical effectiveness of services delivered to our clients and plays a central role in treatment planning, staff supervision, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
This is a Minnesota-based position. Position is predominately remote with one in-person expectation of every 2 months.
Who Qualifies as a QSP (per Minn. Stat. § 256B.0949, subd. 15)
Candidates must meet one of the following:
- Licensed mental health professional or licensed behavior analyst (LBA), AND have at least 2,000 hours of supervised clinical experience or training examining/treating individuals with ASD or a related condition — or equivalent graduate-level coursework in ASD diagnostics, ASD developmental/behavioral treatment strategies, and typical child development
- OR a developmental or behavioral pediatrician with the same 2,000-hour clinical experience/training requirement above
Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analysts (LBA) with relevant ASD experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
The following individuals may provide services to a client as a mental health professional:
(1) a registered nurse who is licensed under sections 148.171 to 148.285 and is certified as a: (i) clinical nurse specialist in child or adolescent, family, or adult psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national certification organization; or (ii) nurse practitioner in adult or family psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national nurse certification organization;
(2) a licensed independent clinical social worker as defined in section 148E.050, subdivision 5;
(3) a psychologist licensed by the Board of Psychology under sections 148.88 to 148.98;
(4) a physician licensed under chapter 147 if the physician is: (i) certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; (ii) certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry; or (iii) eligible for board certification in psychiatry;
(5) a marriage and family therapist licensed under sections 148B.29 to 148B.392; or
(6) a licensed professional clinical counselor licensed under section 148B.5301.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical supervision for EIDBI services, taking full professional responsibility for the effectiveness of each client's treatment
- Develop & Conduct CMDE Assessments
- Conduct required EIDBI intervention observation and direction at least monthly for each supervisee/client, including in-person sessions (per state telehealth limits — no more than two consecutive monthly sessions may be conducted via telehealth)
- Complete ITP progress monitoring at minimum every six months, documenting progress toward functional and generalizable goals
- Supervise Level I, II, and III treatment providers; review documentation for accuracy and completeness before submission
- Coordinate care across providers, families, and other service systems, including participation in coordinated care conferences as needed
- Provide family caregiver training and counseling
- Ensure all clinical documentation complies with MHCP/DHS and EIDBI Benefit Policy Manual standards
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Minnesota licensure (mental health professional, LBA, or applicable credential) — or eligibility to obtain MN licensure prior to start
- Meets the 2,000-hour clinical experience/coursework requirement under subd. 15(a)
- Reliable, in-person availability in Minnesota service area
- Passes required NETStudy 2.0 background study
- Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills
- Experience with ABA and/or other EIDBI-approved modalities (DIR/Floortime, ESDM, RDI) a plus
Pay: $55.00 - $70.00 per hour
