About The Role:
As a CBRE Deputy Fire Safety Director, you will work withmanagement to help plan and coordinate the fire safety operations of a small tomedium-sized property.
This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. Theyare responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organizationor other tangible assets.
Schedule: Thursday-Monday (Tuesday/Wednesday off), 11pm-7am
What You'll Do:
Operating and maintenance of the Fire Alarm Systemand all related equipment; maintaining the general condition of the Fire CommandCenter. Generating, filing and distributing accurate incident reports andinvestigating all incidents. Preparing and submitting detailed incident reportsto Life Safety/Security.
Reviewing all daily log entries regarding fireprevention and maintaining Fire Department Log boos as specified by Local LawNo.5 & 26; to ensure that proper procedures are being followed.
Capable of training all Fire Wardens, DeputyFire Wardens, Searchers, and Building Fire Brigade; manage the FireWardens/Deputy Wardens sign-in logs and Organization Charts, schedule andconduct all building Fire/EAP drills, direct evacuation procedures.
Conduct monthly communication testing of the FireAlarm System with central station, conduct semi-annual testing of the Fire AlarmSystem signaling and initiating devices per code, conduct daily inspection ofthe building for fire prevention and protection, conduct all inspections andtesting whether per NYC code or company policy.
Follows all posted orders as assigned. Monitoringcomputerized Access Control, CCTV Systems, and responding to intrusion and Hold-Up(Panic) alarms. Monitoring and responding to the Building Intercom System.Remain aware and alert at all times to potential security breaches.
Provide pertinent information to the FireDepartment during emergencies and routine visits/inspections maintenance of allFire Extinguisher systems, conduct the monthly Elevator Recall Phase I and FiremenService Phase II.
Enforcement of a security and life safety policies,rules and procedures, which are set forth by Building Management & tenant.Processing and accessing tenants and visitors in the building daily, this includesvalidating of ID cards and recording the information on sign-in sheets andissuing building passes.
Assist with parking operations, includingissuing parking decals, permits, and citations.
Connect with the Property Manager regardingevents, incidents, and concerns. Make suggestions for future situations.
Review the equipment inventories for accuracy.
Provide safety information and demonstrations onhow to perform certain work tasks to employees.
Test all installed fire and life safety systemsregularly to make sure they work in an effective and efficient manner. Providecriteria on the number or type of fire extinguishers needed in each area.

High School Diploma or GED with 2-3 years ofjob-related experience
FDNY F89 Fire and Safety Director License
An established understanding of work routinesand standards and applying skills and knowledge in a range of processes,procedures, and systems are required.
Requires intermediate problem-solving skillswith the capacity to review and select solutions from available options withoutsupervisory approval.
Ability to explain detailed and complicatedinformation within the team in a clear and concise manner.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Strong organizational skills with a robustinquisitive mentality.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Deputy Fire Safety Director position is $60,000 annually [or $28.85 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Deputy Fire Safety Director position is $65,083.20 annually [or $31.29 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
