Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Comptroller or Financial Analyst to join our team. Duties
- Oversee and manage the organization’s general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy in account reconciliation, debits & credits, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Prepare and review financial reports, including statements of financial position, income statements, and cash flow reports, adhering to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Conduct thorough account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations to verify data integrity across all financial systems.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero to ensure timely payments and collections.
- Lead regulatory reporting efforts in compliance with government regulations and nonprofit standards; support external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Implement and monitor internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and technical accounting procedures.
- Support budgeting activities, forecasting, and financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
- Facilitate cash management activities including cash flow forecasting and bank account reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate payroll records while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Utilize financial management tools to improve efficiency in account reconciliation, account analysis, and financial reporting.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of G702/G703 Pay Apps
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Excellent understanding of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting.
- Experience with regulatory reporting requirements for nonprofit or government entities.
- Solid skills in account reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable management, and cash management strategies.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data with strong analytical skills; adept at financial concepts like debits & credits and account analysis.
- Familiarity with internal controls related to SOX compliance and regulatory standards.
