**FIRST REVIEW OF APPLICATIONS AUGUST 18TH
The Assistant County Attorney performs prompt and responsible professional legal work for criminal and civil type cases, including case analysis, legal analysis, legal research, legal drafting, and solution of complex legal problems. Prepares, organizes, and presents a wide variety of court cases for jury, court, and administrative trials and other contested cases and appeals. Provides legal advice and issues written opinions to county officials and county employees in both civil and criminal areas of the law. Prepares and presents routine training to law enforcement officers, community groups and other departments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and admission to the Minnesota State Bar as well as less than one year to three or more years of related experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of practice experience are preferred.
