Logistics Operations Coordinator – Freight Brokerage
MAV, Inc. is looking for an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator to support a growing freight brokerage operation. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands the fast-paced nature of truckload transportation and is comfortable managing multiple shipments, communicating with carriers and drivers, and resolving issues quickly.
We are looking for someone who is highly responsive, organized, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of loads from pickup through delivery.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor approximately 10–20 truckloads per day
- Track and trace active shipments from pickup through delivery
- Communicate directly with carriers and drivers regarding shipment status
- Provide proactive updates and quickly identify potential service issues
- Coordinate pickups, deliveries, appointments, and shipment requirements
- Troubleshoot delays, missed appointments, driver issues, and other problems that arise in transit
- Work closely with our brokerage and offshore operations teams
- Maintain accurate shipment information and documentation
- Ensure loads are being serviced properly and customer expectations are met
- Assist with carrier communication and operational support as needed
- Remain highly responsive throughout the workday and follow through until issues are resolved
What We're Looking For
- Previous freight brokerage or U.S. truckload operations experience strongly preferred
- Experience managing FTL/OTR shipments
- Strong understanding of the truckload lifecycle from booking through final delivery
- Experience communicating directly with carriers and drivers
- Ability to manage a high volume of active shipments and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm when issues arise
- Highly organized, dependable, and responsive
- Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly
- Experience with transportation management systems, load boards, tracking platforms, or similar logistics technology is a plus
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
This position supports an active freight operation, so flexibility and responsiveness when time-sensitive shipment issues arise are important.
Compensation
Approximately $60,000 annually, depending on experience.
