Duties
- Perform customized massage treatments including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to target specific areas of pain or tension
- Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology to develop effective treatment plans for pain management and occupational health concerns
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all clients by adhering to sanitation protocols and clinic policies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals when necessary to coordinate comprehensive patient care
Experience
- Proven experience as a Massage Therapist with a valid state license or certification in massage therapy
- Familiarity with patient service principles and excellent customer service skills to foster positive client relationships
- Hands-on experience with deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to therapeutic massage practices
- Prior work in med spas or occupational health settings is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of patient assessment procedures and the ability to tailor treatments accordingly
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients and team members while maintaining professionalism
