Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will oversee the accurate and efficient movement of goods into and out of our facility, ensuring seamless order fulfillment and inventory management. Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse management systems (WMS) and Yard Management System
- Communication with team members by maintaining and notifying personnel of trailers in & out of the yard.
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspect for damages, and document discrepancies for resolution
- Ensure compliance and dispatch loaded trailers by preparing necessary documentation for freight carriers, uploading photos and information to the YMS, and correctly record outbound shipments or inbound shipments.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, or related roles within a distribution or e-commerce environment
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems, tablets, or computers.
- Verifying shipment details accurately via documentation and on YMS system
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow safety guidelines
