About the Role:
We’re looking for an Electrical Engineer with 3–5 years of design experience to join our team in our Louisville, KY office. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage systems under the direction of the responsible P.E. to complete a thorough design and will follow the design through it's construction.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Design electrical power, lighting, and low-voltage systems for new construction and renovation projects.
- Perform load calculations, equipment sizing and selection, and system layout development.
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and other project disciplines.
- Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and support construction administration activities.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Communicate directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- EIT or PE license preferred (or ability to obtain).
- 3+ years of experience in MEP consulting or related building systems design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; familiarity with load calculation software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
