Duties
- Assist in preparing metal parts and products for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and handling materials safely using hand tools and power tools
- Operate equipment such as airless paint sprayers, cranes, forklifts, and other machinery under supervision to apply powder coatings efficiently and accurately
- Learn to set up and calibrate coating equipment, ensuring optimal spray patterns and thicknesses using precision measuring instruments
- Support the loading and unloading of materials using forklifts and cranes while adhering to proper materials handling procedures
- Conduct quality inspections on finished products, verifying coating consistency with basic math skills and precision measurement tools
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve workflow
- Follow all safety protocols related to industrial painting, welding, machining, auto body repair, and fabrication processes
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with warehouse operations, materials handling, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Knowledge of industrial painting techniques including auto painting and airless paint spraying methods
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy equipment safely with proper certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to use precision measuring instruments for quality control
- Good communication skills for teamwork and following detailed instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring coatings thicknesses and calculating material needs

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour
