Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Solar Electrician who cares about there work quality to join our dynamic renewable energy team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting photovoltaic (solar) systems on residential sites.
Duties
- Install photovoltaic systems, including rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays, following detailed blueprints and schematics.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to ensure precise system setup.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting of solar power systems to identify issues quickly and efficiently.
- Perform wiring, fixture installation, and connection of high voltage and low voltage electrical components in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and construction equipment safely on construction sites and outdoor environments.
- Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards for electrical safety procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to complete system commissioning, testing, and quality assurance checks to guarantee optimal performance.
- Take all required photos, measurements and perform job close out calls as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a residential electrician with a strong background in electrical work, blueprint reading, and schematic interpretation.
- Hands-on experience working as a solar technician or in the renewable energy sector, specifically with photovoltaic system installation.
- Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems, with a focus on NFPA 70 compliance.
- Construction site experience, including roofing or outdoor work environments, is highly desirable.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical safety procedures, ladder use, hand tools, power tools, and fixture installation.
- Strong understanding of NEC regulations related to photovoltaic systems and general electrical safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to read technical blueprints accurately.
- Ongoing training in renewable energy technologies is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
