Proficient Staffing Solutions is currently hiring 1st shift Welders in North Grafton, MA.
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Position Overview:
The Production Welder will perform routine hand-welding or robotic welding on a repetitive and non-repetitive nature on standard and near-standard assemblies. De-burr, grind, and fit components before welding. Grind and polish finished elements as required. Block jig or position parts before welding.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-3 years’ welding experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of basic shop math and welding symbols.
- Ability to read and understand formal, and informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.
Position Criteria:
- Ability to read written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and follow standard work.
- Ability to use good judgment and problem-solving skills to make informed decisions.
- Basic computer knowledge of Windows-based operating systems and programs.
- Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers.
- Ability to change tooling/tooling parameters.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items
- Ability to stand for extended periods. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting are inherent to this position
- Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited school.
- Six (6) months of prior welding experience or a technical diploma or certification in welding from an accredited institution
