The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the dealership's parts department, including inventory management, parts sales, customer service, merchandising, and profitability. This role ensures that customers, service technicians, and sales personnel have timely access to the parts and accessories needed to support dealership operations while maintaining optimal inventory levels and departmental profitability. We are a dealer for Yamaha Motorsports and Watercraft, as well as Tracker, Sun Tracker, and Nitro boats. Experience with some or all of these product lines , as well as Lightspeed DMS is preferred. Willing to train candidates with automotive, diesel, RV, or other relevant experience. $19 - $24/hr plus a monthly incentive of a percentage of net profit on all parts sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Department Operations
- Manage the daily operations of the parts department.
- Ensure exceptional customer service for retail, wholesale, and internal customers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional parts showroom and warehouse.
- Develop and implement department processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Inventory Management
- Maintain proper inventory levels based on sales trends, seasonality, and manufacturer programs.
- Monitor stock orders, emergency orders, and backorders.
- Conduct regular inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventories.
- Control inventory obsolescence and implement strategies to reduce aged inventory.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper receiving, stocking, and tracking procedures.
Sales & Profitability
- Achieve department sales, gross profit, and inventory turn objectives.
- Promote parts, accessories, riding gear, and add-on sales opportunities.
- Develop and execute merchandising and promotional programs.
- Monitor pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive.
- Analyze sales reports and identify growth opportunities.
Service Department Support
- Work closely with the service department to ensure technicians receive required parts promptly.
- Maintain efficient communication regarding backorders and special-order parts.
- Ensure warranty parts are processed according to manufacturer requirements.
- Support service scheduling through effective parts availability planning.
Education and Experience:
● At least two years of experience with marine and powersports equipment highly preferred.
Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
