We are seeking a reliable and motivated Local Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism in all driving and delivery tasks.
Duties
- Operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles for local deliveries.
- Load and unload products, ensuring safe handling of items.
- Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform moving tasks safely.
- Experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is desirable.
- Knowledge of route driving and local area navigation is beneficial.
