Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care while providing essential clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals. Experience in dermatology, emergency medicine, or urgent care is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
- Administer medications as directed by physicians
- Measure and accurately record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and other clinical data
- Perform clinical tasks in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and maintaining medical records
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection control guidelines, and HIPAA regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to enhance patient care and workflow efficiency
Qualifications & Experience
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant required
- Knowledge of medical terminology strongly preferred
- Previous experience in dermatology, emergency medicine, or urgent care is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
