Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks, roll-off trucks, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles to transport construction materials, freight, or hazardous goods.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts, ensuring secure placement for transit.
- Follow designated routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo details, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Adhere strictly to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods or hazardous materials.
- Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate deliveries, optimize routes, and manage freight handling efficiently.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements suitable for operating dump trucks, tanker trucks, flatbeds, or refrigerated trailers.
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, route driving, or delivery driver roles involving freight or hazardous materials.
- Proficiency in manual transmission operation and manual handling techniques.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
- Ability to load & unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off mechanisms.
- Experience operating specialized trucks such as dump trucks or tractor-trailers preferred but not required; training provided if necessary.

Pay: $30.25 - $36.44 per hour
