Job Overview
Beautiful oceanfront high rise condominium needs a part time maintenance worker and housekeeper. Join our motivated team, and help us present a sparkling building for our weekly guests.
Hours: Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday -- 5 hours each day
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and mops
- Handle chemical agents safely during cleaning and sanitation procedures, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety protocols
- Conduct routine custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom sanitation to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities such as minor repairs, painting, and upkeep of fixtures to maintain optimal operational condition
- Operate cleaning machinery and tools safely while following proper safety practices for heavy lifting and manual handling
- Support general maintenance tasks including floor care (buffing and polishing), porter duties, and light repairs around the premises
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all janitorial and maintenance activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, industrial vacuums, and other custodial tools
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, painting, or industrial cleaning is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
- Strong customer service skills with a proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Prior porter or maintenance experience in a similar setting will be considered a plus
