About the Role
Summit Fleet is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lot Technician to join our fleet operations team. This role is responsible for performing full interior and exterior detailing on previously leased or rented vehicles to ensure they meet our quality and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains a high level of accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange, park, log and organize all vehicles at your facility and potential auxiliary parking lots
- Ensure vehicles are clean and presentable for customers
- Ensure the lot is organized, clean and free from trash, litter, and debris
- Transport vehicles to various destinations (customers, service facilities, etc)
- Detail vehicles as required (both interior and exterior)
- Ensure license plates and registrations are valid, matching and in the correct places
- Install decals
- Perform vehicle inspections and take pictures of vehicles going on and off rent, note damages, obvious mechanical deficiencies and cleanliness.
- PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) making sure vehicle is delivered from the dealer in good mechanical condition, installing floor mats, antennas, license plates and removing factory plastics
- Professionally communicating with customers to confirm delivery / pick up of vehicles
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment (bending, standing, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing priorities.
