The Head of School serves as the instructional and operational leader for grades 4–8 and works in close partnership with the Lower School Principal to lead one unified MPAC Academy. Together, both principals share responsibility for creating a seamless PreK–8 educational experience while ensuring each division maintains its own developmental focus. This leader spends more time in classrooms than behind a desk—coaching teachers, supporting scholars, engaging families, and building an exceptional school culture.

Primary Responsibilities
· Lead instructional excellence through coaching, classroom observations, and data-driven decision making.
· Develop, support, and evaluate teachers through meaningful feedback.
· Build a positive, safe, and academically focused school culture.
· Recruit, hire, and retain high-quality educators.
· Oversee daily school operations, scholar discipline, attendance, and safety.
· Partner with families to support scholar success.
· Collaborate closely with the Lower School Principal and executive leadership on school-wide initiatives.
Partnership with the Lower School Principal
The Upper School Principal and Lower School Principal operate as one leadership team with one mission. Together they establish a unified vision, collaborate on strategic planning, ensure consistency across grade levels, support one another through shared leadership, and model collaboration for staff and scholars.
Qualifications
· Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field.
· Valid Tennessee Administrator License or eligibility to obtain one.
· Minimum five years of successful teaching experience.
· Minimum three years of successful school leadership experience.
· Demonstrated success improving scholar achievement and coaching teachers.
