This position provides a variety of support functions to both Teleradiology and Mammography physicians, clients and patients.

This position reports directly to the Clinic Administrative & Teleradiology Manager and indirectly to RAA Teleradiology and Mammography physicians
Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed in an office setting. It involves day, evening, week-end and holiday work as needed. The position also includes weekend call rotation and training new employees as needed. Consistent attendance is mandatory. The majority of the employees’ time is spent in the Radiologist Office Area, which will require long periods of sitting. Manual dexterity that is sufficient to use office equipment and provide assistance folding laundry is required.

Maintain communication between sites and physicians, which involves handling both incoming and outgoing telephone calls.

Manage and track all flow of paperwork.

Responsible for equipment and area maintenance including fax machines, dictation equipment, computers and general upkeep of the department.

Responsible for knowledge and use of various software applications (RIS, PACS, PowerScribe, Actionable Findings, Nuance, EPIC, Medinformatics, etc.)

Assist with looking up prior imaging for clinic

Assist radiologists in general work flow, troubleshooting system errors, making calls for the Radiologists for pathology results.
- Act as a point of contact for LCMC and Espanola on diagnostic mammography days.
- Print reports and push images as needed for Mammography and Ultrasound when needed for comparison.
- Shipping and receiving tasks: ensure pick up and deliveries are done in a timely manner, sign for medical waste, deliver time sensitive or medical packages that are required to remain cold to the correct departments.
- Support Transcription as needed:
- Mail duties: sort mail, use postage machine to ensure all mail has postage, research returned mail.

Six month follow-up research and notation

Search for missing reports

Wash, dry and appropriately fold laundry (per folding instructions) as needed during non-business hours or when clinic is short staffed.

Update PenRad for patients who are deceased or moved.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Proficient in usage of various office equipment and computer software applications such as Internet and Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Gains proficiency in Radiologic Radiology Information System (RIS) and Hospital Information System (HIS), RAA & Hospital PACS, Actionable Findings software, MedInformatics, EPIC, PenRad, Nuance, Powershare, PowerScribe, PenLung, Qgenda, OnRad portal, InteleViewer & InteleBrowser is required.
- Ability to examine documents for correctness and interpreting their accuracy, gathering, analyzing, and evaluating data.

Education: High School graduation or GED
Experience: Minimum of two years’ experience in a healthcare or physician group environment
