Reports To: International Sales Manager FLSA: Exempt
GENERAL SUMMARY
A VBC Application Engineer is a technical sales specialist and the primary point of contact for customers in the US and Canada. The focus is on building customer relationships and providing technical support for cryogenic systems. Responsibilities include customer contact, site visits, technical drawings, pricing proposals, troubleshooting, and order entry.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Visit customers to deliver technical sales presentations and drive sales growth.
Accurately measure and sketch piping systems for quotes and fabrication.
Prepare quotations for prospective customers.
Attend trade shows and conferences as required.
Troubleshoot systems by phone or in person if needed.
Contact potential customers from trade show leads, networking, and inquiries.
Build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
Maintain and regularly update the CRM database.
Represent VBC with professionalism, confidence, and enthusiasm.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
Demonstrate strong electromechanical skills and read architectural mechanical drawings.
Accurately and clearly sketch in the field to convey information for fabrication.
AutoCAD, CRM, and Microsoft Suite knowledge preferred.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field required.
At least 2-3 years of technical sales experience in manufacturing is required.
Knowledge and understanding of LN2 piping and dosing systems, and their application in the industries we serve (e.g., food and beverage, pharmaceutical, semiconductor).

The territory for this role includes most of the US and Canada. Frequent overnight travel is common, with a hybrid work schedule when not traveling.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
