Job Overview
The North Carolina State Health Plan (Plan) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Operations Manager specializing in health plan operations to lead complex initiatives in support of the Plan's mission. Responsibilities
- Program Management: Manage a variety of Plan Ops programs that include but is not limited to network operations, health plan enrollment audits, Medicare Advantage Enrollment. The types of projects/programs will evolve and change over time, which is why the candidate must have broad experience in health plan operations.
- Project Management: Provide project management for various Plan initiatives. This includes developing and documenting requirements, tracking deliverables and managing vendor delivery.
- Project Oversight - Manage the overall project plan for all Plan projects and initiatives
- Conduct root cause analysis and leverage Lean Six Sigma principles to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements using tools like process mapping and business process modeling.
- Oversee project scheduling, risk management, scope control, and budgeting activities using advanced project management software including Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
- Coordinate vendor management efforts for IT infrastructure, software solutions such as Salesforce or SharePoint, and other external partners to ensure quality delivery within scope and budget.
- Facilitate meetings effectively to ensure clear communication among stakeholders; prepare technical documentation and reports for executive review
Qualifications
- Proven experience in health plan operations and project leadership within healthcare.
- Strong expertise in project management methodologies including Waterfall, Agile (SAFe), Lean Six Sigma, and Kanban; certification such as PMP or PgMP is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate meetings effectively and produce technical writing for diverse audiences.
- Skilled in data analysis techniques including data collection and root cause analysis; experience with data analytics tools is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on process management and risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with vendor management processes is a plus.
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
