The Airport Service Officer plays a vital role in maintaining the safety, security, and smooth operation of the airport. This position involves a diverse range of security and operations duties that require sound judgment, adaptability, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. The role operates with both independent and supervised responsibilities, providing opportunities to make meaningful decisions while ensuring compliance with regulations. Required Experience and Training

High school diploma.

A valid Kansas Driver's License

Must pass a ten-year background investigation, including employment, driver's license, security threat assessment and criminal history.

Successful attainment of passing scores on the pre-employment test. Candidates with required experience and training will be required to take the following assessments:

Offers of employment are contingent upon passing a physical examination, which includes drug screening.
Starting pay for current City employees will be determined by City of Wichita policy or applicable bargaining unit agreement.
