Duties
- Assist with concrete pouring, spreading, and leveling to create smooth, even surfaces according to project specifications.
- Perform detailed concrete finishing tasks including troweling, edging, and smoothing to achieve desired textures and finishes.
- Support rebar installation and formwork construction to prepare sites for concrete placement.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely for cutting, shaping, and preparing concrete forms or surfaces.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate execution of construction plans.
- Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for yourself and team members.
- Conduct heavy lifting and assist with the operation of heavy equipment such as concrete mixers and pumps as needed.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Construction estimating skills for understanding project scope and material needs.
- Experience with rebar installation, formwork construction, and concrete finishing techniques.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations to ensure compliance on-site.
- Ability to operate power tools, heavy equipment, and commercial driving vehicles safely.
- Strong background in working on various construction projects including renovation, restoration, masonry, framing, roofing, plastering, tile laying, stucco application, caulking, carpentry (including trim carpentry), metal stud framing, flooring installation, welding, concrete pumping and cutting.
