Field Supervisor / Project Coordinator – Painting & Construction Services
Sun Painting is a growing painting and construction services company serving Central Virginia. We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Field Supervisor / Project Coordinator to help oversee commercial painting projects throughout the region.
Location: Charlottesville, VA and surrounding areas
This position is ideal for someone with construction or painting industry experience who enjoys managing projects, coordinating crews, communicating with customers, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
Applicants will be expected to perform the following duties:
- Assist in overseeing day-to-day project operations and field activity
- Coordinate schedules, materials, crews, and subcontractors
- Support Project Managers with jobsite organization and communication
- Conduct jobsite walkthroughs and quality control inspections
- Review project scopes, specifications, and work orders
- Track project progress, labor, and production
- Order materials and maintain inventory as approved by management
- Communicate with customers regarding scheduling and project updates
- Assist with change orders, job documentation, and project closeout
- Maintain jobsite safety and company standards
- Complete administrative tasks related to project coordination and reporting
Qualifications
Qualified applicants should possess:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to lead crews and maintain accountability on jobsites
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in painting, construction, remodeling, or related trades
- Previous supervisory or project coordination experience
- Experience with residential and commercial painting operations
- Familiarity with estimating, scheduling, or project management software
Requirements
