Position Summary
The Vac Truck Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining vacuum trucks to safely remove, transport, and dispose of non-hazardous and hazardous materials (liquids, sludge, and solids) from job sites. This role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, environmental standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- · Operate vacuum trucks and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- · Perform industrial cleaning services such as hydro-excavation, tank cleaning, and line flushing
- · Load and unload waste materials using vacuum hoses and pumping systems
- · Transport materials to approved disposal or treatment facilities
- · Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safe operating conditions
- · Perform routine maintenance on trucks (checking fluids, greasing, minor repairs)
- · Follow all DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations
- · Complete required documentation including logs, manifests, and service reports
- · Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatch, and customers on site
Qualifications
- · High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- · Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B (required)
- · Tanker endorsement required
- · Previous experience operating vacuum trucks or similar heavy equipment (preferred)
Physical Requirements
- · Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- · Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- · Ability to work in confined spaces or industrial environments
- · Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
Work Environment
- · Industrial sites, construction sites, refineries, and municipal locations
- · Exposure to noise, chemicals, and heavy equipment
- · May require travel and overtime, including nights and weekends

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
