Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Food Prep team member to join our dynamic culinary environment. Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients under supervision
- Support kitchen staff with meal assembly and plating to ensure timely service
- Follow proper food handling procedures to maintain safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food prep and service
- Restock supplies and organize storage areas to keep the kitchen tidy and efficient
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces regularly
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and dietary department guidelines during food handling and preparation
Experience
- Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly advantageous
- Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper knife skills and handling of ingredients in the food industry
- Exposure to catering or large-scale food service operations is beneficial
- Strong understanding of kitchen safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Enthusiasm for learning culinary skills and contributing positively to team efforts
