We are assembling a highly qualified Microsoft Azure consulting team for a government IT infrastructure enhancement and modernization opportunity. We may select more than one consultant to provide complementary expertise in Azure architecture, cloud administration, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, automation, and technical project management.
This contract opportunity is contingent upon Golden Tech and Services, LLC receiving the contract award and executing a written agreement with the selected consultant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Depending on the selected consultant’s assigned role, responsibilities may include:
- Assess existing IT infrastructure, applications, security controls, operational processes, and modernization requirements.
- Design secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective Microsoft Azure and hybrid-cloud architectures.
- Develop cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, implementation, testing, and operational support plans.
- Configure and manage Azure subscriptions, management groups, resource groups, policies, networking, storage, compute, monitoring, backup, and disaster-recovery services.
- Design and implement Azure Virtual Networks, network security groups, VPNs, private endpoints, load balancers, firewalls, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
- Implement identity and access management controls using Microsoft Entra ID, role-based access control, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, privileged identity management, and related security capabilities.
- Establish Azure governance, security baselines, compliance controls, logging, monitoring, vulnerability-management, and incident response processes.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, Azure CLI, or related automation tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or comparable technologies.
- Support containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service, where required.
- Produce architecture diagrams, implementation plans, configuration documentation, operating procedures, risk reports, and knowledge-transfer materials.
- Collaborate with government stakeholders, project managers, engineers, security personnel, vendors, and other technical teams.
- Lead or participate in technical meetings, status reporting, issue resolution, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- At least five years of substantial hands-on Microsoft Azure architecture, engineering, administration, security, or DevSecOps experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale Azure or hybrid-cloud implementations.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, governance, security, monitoring, automation, backup, resilience, and cost-management practices.
- Experience with infrastructure assessment, migration planning, modernization, implementation, troubleshooting, and operational support.
- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven consulting environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to participate in remote work and attend authorized meetings or project activities in New York City when required.
HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience delivering technology projects for U.S. federal, state, or local government agencies.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Government, FedRAMP, NIST, CIS benchmarks, Zero Trust, or comparable public-sector security and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
- Experience with enterprise data-center migration, hybrid-cloud integration, infrastructure modernization, disaster recovery, or security remediation.
- Prior responsibility for client-facing technical leadership, architecture reviews, project planning, risk management, and knowledge transfer.
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
One or more current and verifiable credentials are strongly preferred:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert / AZ-305
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / AZ-104
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate / AZ-500
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert / AZ-400
- Other relevant Microsoft, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, PMP, Scrum, or Agile credentials
ENGAGEMENT INFORMATION
- Job type: Contract
- Location: Hybrid — primarily remote with possible on-site activities in New York City
- Expected workload: Approximately 20–40 hours per week, depending on the assigned role and project requirements
- Anticipated compensation: $90–$140 per hour
- Potential structures: 1099 independent contractor, W-2 contract employee, C2C, or subcontractor, subject to legal review and the final written agreement
- Anticipated project participation is contingent upon contract award, client approval when required, successful credential verification, and execution of all necessary agreements.

Compensation within the advertised range will depend on the selected role, qualifications, certifications, verified experience, engagement structure, assigned responsibilities, and final project requirements.
