Description
The Sr Medical Writer will be responsible for creating deliverables—including but not limited to outlines and transcripts—that meet the client’s training needs. The Sr Medical Writer is often involved in projects from their inception, working with other Syneos Learning Solutions team members (Solution Implementation Managers, Learning Strategists, Learning Advisors, and others) to provide input into training roadmaps and timelines and attending both internal and external status meetings. Other duties may include assisting in answering RFPs, attending pitch meetings, and updating catalog courses. This role requires flexibility, excellent organizational skills and time management, good communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Work collaboratively with team of medical writers, other team members, and clients to prepare training for sales representatives, medical science liaisons, and other professionals in the pharmaceutical and/or biotech field

Research relevant material and incorporate guidance from clients and subject matter experts in order to write and organize training materials for pharmaceutical companies of all sizes

Prepare transcripts for conversion into e-modules and other training modalities

Create medical writing deliverables covering various therapeutic areas with minimal supervision. Deliverables include, but may not be limited to, outlines and transcripts for e-learning, needs assessments, clinical study protocol overviews, and patient narratives.

Adhere to established regulatory/compliance standards when completing medical writing projects, including fully referencing and annotating references of all information

Review documents for proper grammar, spelling, and style to promote readability and prevent perpetuation of errors

Format documents and perform pre- and post-publishing quality checks

Provide updates to the client’s writing team and resolve problems to ensure timely delivery of quality documents

Render and publish documents, including all references, electronically
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (preferred)

BS + 8 yr experience; MS/PharmD + 4 yr experience; PhD + 1 yr experience
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $115,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
