Our client is looking to hire a Safety Manager in the Idaho Falls area.
The Safety Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of company-wide health and safety programs, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. This is a senior leadership role that demands strong attention to detail, the ability to identify hazards, and the expertise to improve workplace conditions through effective safety planning, training, and enforcement. The successful candidate will serve as a primary point of accountability for workplace safety, OSHA reporting, incident investigation, and the ongoing development of a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities Include:
· Grow and maintain a safe workplace through the development and execution of comprehensive safety programs.
· Partner with employees, supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors and general contractors to ensure safety compliance across all operations.
· Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s safety program, including OSHA reporting, training, and incident investigation.
· Collaborate with the leadership team on safety strategy, workforce planning, and annual safety budget development.
· Oversee safety initiatives and provide ongoing mentorship, coaching, and performance guidance.
· Review and approve safety policies, procedures, and corrective action plans to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
· Monitor workplace conditions, equipment, tools, and employee practices to ensure adherence to safety standards.
· Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, industry standards, and safety regulations.
· Conduct regular site visits and safety audits to maintain compliance and accountability.
· Manage workers’ compensation claims and coordinate incident investigations.
· Prepare and present monthly safety performance reports to senior leadership, including financial summaries, incident statistics, and program updates.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
· Proven ability to build and maintain a strong culture of workplace safety
· Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
· 3 to 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, risk management or related fields is preferred
· 3+ years in a leadership role with direct responsibility for overseeing safety programs or teams is a plus
· Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
· Experience conducting safety audits, trainings and incident investigations preferred
· Experience with safety management software and reporting tools preferred
· Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required by business needs
· Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Industrial Hygiene is a plus; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Compensation: Annual salary starting between 95K and 115K, depending on qualifications
