Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 2nd Grade Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a love of education in reading and science. You will utilize innovative learning technologies and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs, including those requiring special education support. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating instructional design principles and learning technology tools.
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports students with disabilities and promotes positive behavior management through effective conflict resolution strategies.
- Use formative and summative assessments, including quantitative analysis of student performance data, to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver differentiated instruction for diverse learners, including those in special education programs or requiring multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, behavior management logs, and compliance with educational regulations.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians through conferences and written updates to support student growth and address individual needs.
Experience
- Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree! If you do not hold a valid Texas teacher certificate for elementary, you must be enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program!
- Proven ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a positive learning atmosphere.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with students, parents, colleagues, and school administrators.
- Background in using data analysis techniques to evaluate student performance trends and inform instruction.
