Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Duties
- Operate box trucks, vans, or other vehicles to deliver products to designated locations.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload goods using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques.
- Ensure all deliveries are made in a timely manner while maintaining the quality of the items delivered.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in route driving or courier services is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Must be able to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the day.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
