Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Jonas POS system, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menu offerings, including food preparation details and wine or beverage pairings
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling standards are consistently met
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Familiarity with wine, alcohol and beer.

- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately and efficiently during service shifts
- Use reservation systems to manage guest seating efficiently and reduce wait times
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations; attention to detail is key
