About the Role:
Union City Veterinary Medical Center & Emergency Clinic is looking for a compassionate and organized Evening Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team in Union City, GA. Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism during evening and emergency hours (3pm–12am)
- Answer multi-line phones, triage incoming calls, and direct urgent inquiries to appropriate veterinary staff
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate client information in practice management software
- Process payments, invoices, and end-of-shift financial transactions
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth patient flow
- Assist with client education on post-visit care instructions and follow-up appointments
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby area
Requirements:
- Prior veterinary receptionist or veterinary clinic experience strongly preferred
- Availability to work evening shifts, 3pm–12am, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with veterinary practice management software (e.g., V-tech, Avimark, Cornerstone, or similar)
- Strong multitasking and communication skills in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- Ability to remain calm and compassionate when handling emergency and emotionally sensitive situations
- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and common animal care practices
- Reliable, punctual, and a true team player with a positive attitude
