Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, slicers, and grills safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace at all times
- Assist with food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, braising, poaching, grilling, and food handling to support high-volume production
- Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control to ensure menu consistency and minimize waste
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or issues
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pizza cook or in a similar food industry role with a focus on food preparation and kitchen operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices, including sanitizing procedures and proper food handling techniques
- Demonstrated skills in culinary techniques such as braising, poaching, grilling, and knife skills
- Experience operating commercial kitchen equipment safely in high-volume environments
- Background in dietary aide or dietary department experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Restaurant or food service experience preferred, but not required.
