About the Position
Kautex Machines Inc. is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot extrusion blow molding machinery and downstream equipment at customer facilities.
This is a remote, travel-intensive role supporting customers throughout the Americas, with occasional international travel. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical, electrical, and industrial troubleshooting skills and enjoys working independently in manufacturing environments.
When not traveling, technicians will provide remote technical support from their home office to customers and fellow field service team members.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Installation and commissioning of extrusion blow molding machines and downstream equipment
- Perform mechanical, electrical, and automation troubleshooting on installed machinery
- Diagnose and repair equipment including PLC systems, drives, sensors, and industrial control components
- Conduct preventive maintenance and service visits at customer facilities
- Document service work, machine modifications, and maintenance actions within company databases
- Provide remote troubleshooting and support to customers and internal technicians when not traveling
- Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and equipment
- Accurately track travel expenses according to company policy
- Represent Kautex Machines Inc. professionally while working on customer sites
- Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining communication with internal engineering and service teams
Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or mechatronics
- Experience with plastic extrusion, blow molding, or similar industrial machinery preferred
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience with PLC-based control systems and industrial automation is a strong plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently in remote field environments
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport for international travel
Travel Requirements
- 85%+ travel required throughout North and South America
- Occasional international travel may be required
- Travel includes both air and ground transportation
Physical Requirements
This position requires working in industrial production environments, including:
- Standing, walking, bending, and climbing around machinery
- Lifting tools and machine components when required
- Working on a computer for reporting and diagnostics
- Frequent travel by car and airplane
Candidates must be physically capable of performing duties under these working conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
