We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Cat Technology Division as a Senior Perception Component Engineer at our Chillicothe, IL offices to develop and deploy new perception products at varying volumes with great visibility to our Caterpillar customers and leaders due to their importance in the system.

Role Definition:
As Senior Perception Component Engineer you are responsible for specifying product that aligns with our corporate needs, then work with a third party provider to design, develop and qualify the perception components for Caterpillar autonomous, automated, safety and base machine systems.
What You Will Do:
- Overseeing / executing compliance with development processes and regulations for perception components.
- Investigating and troubleshooting all technical issues related to the perception components.
- Managing and interfacing with electrical and electronic product suppliers for the development of the perception component.
- Mentoring craftsmen, technicians and engineers in the development of perception components.
Degree Requirement:
- Requires a degree in an accredited Electrical Engineering and/or Computer Engineering curriculum.

Supplier Management: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
